Beat-it, a Cape Town based team building drumming group, has developed a process by which a group of people can drum,
exploring the joy of coming together as a team and
also interacting on a feeling level, using the medium of djembe drumming. The process of drumming is organic in that it grows according to that particular groups ability and needs. It will highlight the importance
of listening and response while drumming. The effects and reflection of this drum experience can then be directly translated into the work situation.
The process we employ is, first and foremost drumming i.e. fun. This can be used as a basis for addressing more serious issues such as conflict management.
